Hi Giga team!

My name is Camila Garay and am a creative director specialising in human rights and science spaces - heading up design initiatives for both the public and private sector.

I always wanted to improve the world around me, or at least, come up with some nice designs while at it. Today I communicate ideas visually working with nerdy data science and innovation projects (because on a mass scale these things change lives). You’ll also find me, on the regular, championing creative culture in places of power.

Raised by wolves in the forests of Bolivia, just kidding. Raised in Sweden, I have sweated pearls of creativity in the design and advertising world, from vibrant South Africa (Ogilvy), and the United Arab Emirates (BBDO), to Latin America and the USA (United Nations).

I essentially:

1. Create brands and communicates them to the world

2. Build creative teams in innovation spaces

2. Help technical experts think through their thinking

3. Build bridges between the creative industry, the public and private sector

Prior to consulting, I led a design team at UNICEF, at the United Headquarters in New York. Our latest design project called Marble tackleded complex research questions with big data, and won Best Branding at the D&AD Awards in 2019. A closer look at the case study here.

Mucho love!
