I’m Camila, a design director specialising in design for human rights science-driven initiatives.

I’ve always wanted to make the world a better place—or at the very least, make some nice designs while at it. Today, I help bring complex, nerdy innovation projects to life at the United Nations through creative leadership.

Raised by wolves in the forests of Bolivia, just kidding. I grew up in Sweden, and spent the first half of my career in the fast-paced world of branding and advertising from Ogilvy in South Africa to BBDO in the UAE. Eventually, I followed my heart into the social impact space, working with UNICEF in Latin America and the U.S.—where I’ve been fortunate to use design as a tool for social development.

I essentially:

Create brands and communicate them to the world.

Build and lead creative teams in innovation and human rights spaces.

Help technical experts think through their thinking.

Build bridges between the public, private, and the creative sectors.

Before going independent, I led the design team at Giga, the UNICEF Office of Innovation.
